The Welsh Weekend saw the North Wales team dodging showers and the newly enforced 20mph, however, one photo shows the lengths some Healey drivers would adopt to remain below the speed limit!

Melville Castle and their “Coffee and Classics” was the destination for the Scottish members when Richard Spalding organised a team drive down through the Borders.  Next Classic and Coffee is on 12^th October so contact Ian below if you want to join in.

Skittles Night
The annual Skittles evening will be held on 25^th October 2023 at the Bickerton Poacher, Malpas, Cheshire, SY14 8BE. The time is 7pm, Steak and Ale pie will be served at 7.30pm followed by our pub skittles challenge. We normally “field” 3 teams - Cheshire, Leek and North Wales. Last year the trophy was taken home by the Leek team (please remember to return it). Always a great night, the cost is £17.50 per person - any dietary requirements please let me know ASAP. Northern Centre May Day Weekend 2024
Next year's event will be in the Yorkshire Dales, taking place from Friday 3^rd May to Monday 6^th May, based at the 4* Cedar Court Hotel, Harrogate, nestled in the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales National Park, offering a diverse mix of river valleys, hills, woodlands and most importantly some of the best driving this side of Switzerland!

Classic Car Show at NEC Birmingham  10^th-12^th November.  This is the must do show of the year and don’t forget the club has a stand at the car show and a club discount in the Members' Area of the National website.

Passing of a Friend
It is with great sadness that we inform you that our friend, fellow Austin Healey owner and Yorkshire Club member Andrew Gill passed away on Friday 29^th September after a long battle with leukaemia. We are thinking of the family at this sad time. Please contact Jeff Hollinshead if you would like further details.
