What fantastic weather, although as I write, the heavens have opened. July and August are full of events, virtually wherever you live in the North, with our very first Northwest run and Barbie in leafy Nether Alderley (by rights we should be serving canapes!). Make sure you grab a ticket at twenty quid, including the Avro Museum, run and food. Big news is the Lakes & Dales Noggin, 2nd Thursday of every Month, see details below.
News from around the North - upcoming events
Norman Butler who recently moved to Ingleton (although long time member) is bravely “kicking off” a new Noggin and Natter at the Crooklands Hotel, LA7 7NW, (Kendal exit of M6) with the inaugural meeting on Thursday, 13th Jul 23. Norman is keen to include runs in this beautiful part of the world and entice those within easy travelling to come and join him. Tony Hughes, petrol head and former racing driver, has invited members to visit his car collection in Mobberley, Cheshire, on Tuesday 1st August at 6pm (our usual noggin night). The Scottish team made a smart move transferring their main outing of the year from Glamis Castle to Thirlstane Castle in Lauder on 18th June, hitting some of the finest weather this year.

The sun shone this year on our annual turn out at Tatton. Big thankyou to organisers and caterers, for all their hard work in what has become a real favourite for members across the North.

- New Wed 26th July - Yorkshire Noggin Venue Change The July Noggin will be held at The Windmill Inn, Linton, Wetherby, LS22 4HT on Wednesday 26th July from 6.30pm onwards. We have used this venue successfully in the past, again there is a good carpark and good food for those who would like to eat. Date change due to conflict with Bowcliffe Hall.
- Wednesday 19th July - Yorkshire Elegance at Bowcliffe Hall Very popular last year and this year the Elegance has grown. See Northern Centre Events for full details and book early to avoid disappointment.
- New Sunday 23rd July - Grampian Motor Museum. Based in Alford, the museum is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a Cavalcade. Austin Healey Club is invited to attend. Details from Ian Walker

- Friday 25th August 2023 - North West BBQ. We are planning a run in the Peak District starting at the Avro Heritage Museum (photo opportunities alongside the Vulcan).
